It features the familiar portrait of President Andrew Jackson with vibrant red serial numbers, design elements, and Treasury seal. The design has lots of white space, reflecting the design philosophy of the time, that the eye would then be drawn to the main elements intended to simplify the counterfeit detection process a bit.
