Fr. 263 $5 1886 Silver Certificate PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. The great silver dollar back attracts collectors to this design, whose purpose was to serve as a memorial to President and Civil War hero, Ulysses S. Grant, who died in the summer of 1885. The back depicts the reverses of four Morgan silver dollars as well as the obverse of an 1886 Morgan silver dollar. This variety also features the striking large brown spiked Treasury seal. While this example does not appear near the top of the PMG Population Report, it is, nonetheless, a lovely note printed on bright paper with great color, decent margins, and good centering.
