2004 Upper Deck SPX Winning Materials Relic & Autograph LeBron James /100 #WMA-LJ PSA 9
Long before the championships, MVP trophies, and all-time scoring record, LeBron James was a 19-year-old phenomenon carrying expectations unlike almost any player before him. This 2004 Upper Deck SPx Winning Materials comes from the very beginning of that journey, pairing an early LeBron autograph and memorabilia piece while limiting the card to just 100 copies. That timing is what makes it especially compelling: LeBron had just completed his Rookie of the Year campaign after entering the NBA directly from high school as perhaps the most celebrated prospect in basketball history. He would go on to become the league's all-time leading scorer, win four championships and four MVP awards, and build one of the longest stretches of elite play the sport has ever witnessed. Upper Deck was responsible for many of LeBron's most important early autographed cards, and this example combines nearly everything collectors want from that formative period - an early signature, memorabilia, low serial numbering, and a PSA 9 grade. It is a card that takes collectors back to the point when the enormous promise surrounding "The Chosen One" was just beginning to turn into one of basketball's greatest careers.
