Comtesse Lafond is owned by the famous winemaking baron De Ladoucette, also known for wines like Grand Regnard, Pic 1er, Baron de L etc. Baron de Ladoucette named the Champagne & castle after his beloved grandmother, Comtesse Lafond.

This bottle - Private Comtesse - as the name suggests is mainly produced for the private events of the Baron (weddings, birthdays,. . .) . As such, the bottles are almost impossible to find for the public (the bottle isn't even mentioned in Wine-Searcher) .

The Private Comtesse 2005 has matured for many years in the freshness of the cellars in order to gain complexity. A limited dosage allows it to maintain its freshness and balance. A Champagne made according to the highest standards. The bottle is only recently degorged.
