2013 Casanova di Neri, Cerretalto - Brunello di Montalcino DOCG - 1 Magnum (1.5L)

[ translate ]

Denomination: Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Grapes: Sangiovese 100% Aging: 36 months in French oak barrels and a further 24 months in the bottle Alcohol content: 15% Service temperature: 16/18 °C Pairing: Inland main courses, Secondi di terra Cerretalto is obtained from a careful selection of Sangiovese grapes from the vintage of the same name on the eastern side of Montalcino, from the Casanova di Neri winery. It is the culmination of the painstaking work that these winemakers put into each production phase, from manually sorting the grapes to refining the wine for at least 36 months in French oak barrels and for another 24 months in the bottle before it is ready to be sold. The result is a Brunello that is unique in its finesse and character; an intense, complex and powerful wine with remarkable longevity (it can be left in the cellar for 20 years) . In the glass it is of a beautiful purple red with garnet hues. The nose is an aromatic explosion of great elegance and complexity with intense notes of ripe red fruit, cherry, raspberry, but also floral hints of violet and dried flowers, spicy perfumes, hints of mineral, and finally hints of tobacco, wood and liquorice. The taste is extraordinary, vigorous, dense and robust, supported by fine tannin and with a very persistent finish. Truly inebriating even for the most demanding palate!
