WINE VARIETIES: Touriga Franca (41%) , Touriga Nacional (34%) , Tinto Cão (13%) & Tinta Roriz (12%) .

VINIFICATION
Grapes were selected and harvested manually in the best plots of Quinta da Leda. A new selection took place on the sorting mat at the winery to ensure maximum quality. After gentle crushing and de-stemming, the grapes were conveyed to stainless steel vats, where alcoholic fermentation took place. Maceration was long and smooth, extracting the compounds that give colour, aroma and flavour to the wine. It aged for around 18 months in French oak barrels, both new (50%) and used (50%) . The final blend was prepared on the basis of countless tastings and analyses carried out during this period. In order to preserve the highest quality of this wine, Quinta da Leda was only subjected to filtration before bottling. As it was not cold stabilised, the formation of a deposit during bottle ageing is natural.

TASTING NOTES
Quinta da Leda 2018 has an intense aroma of good complexity, floral notes and very well integrated wood, as well as an excellent volume in the mouth, lively acidity, high-quality tannins, with a long finish and excellent harmony.

SERVING
Ideal to accompany meat dishes, game and cheeses. The formation of a deposit in the bottle is natural. From the 2nd year after bottling, it is recommended that the wine be decanted before drinking. Serve at 16-18º C.

WINE VARIETIES: Touriga Franca (50%) , Touriga Nacional (30%) & Tinta Roriz (20%) .

VINIFICATION
The grapes came from plots at Quinta da Leda, where they were vinified, and from neighbouring vineyards. After destemming and soft crushing, the grapes are transferred to stainless steel tanks, where they undergo alcoholic fermentation. During this phase, gentle maceration takes place at controlled temperatures, in order to extract the inherent characteristics that contribute to the colour, aroma and flavour of this wine. The wine aged in used French oak (75%) and new American oak barrels for a period of roughly 12 months. The final blend was made further to numerous tastings and analysis conducted during this period. In order to preserve the highest possible quality, this wine was only subject to filtration prior to bottling.

TASTING NOTES
Deep ruby colour. Intense, complex aroma, with notes of black fruits such as plum, red fruits such as strawberries, balsamic aromas, resin and tobacco box, and some spices. The presence of wood is evident, but very well integrated. Good volume on the palate, with lively, well integrated acidity, and polished, firm tannins. The notes of black fruits and slight balsamic aromas of cedar stand out. Long, harmonious finish.

SERVING
This wine pairs wonderfully with meat dishes, such as roasted kid or grilled mature meat. It is also the ideal accompaniment to game or slightly fatty roasted fish. A natural deposit may form in the bottle. It is recommended, after the 2nd year of bottling, that the wine be decanted before it is drunk. Serve at 16ºC-18ºC.
