3x 2012 Château Béchereau , Lalande Pomerol
2x 2000 Pierre Chanau Lalande Pomerol, Lalande Pomerol

Info Lalande de Pomerol:
AOC Lalande de Pomerol is located north of its renowned neighbor Pomerol, just across the small river Barbanne. This region has 1120 hectares of vineyards and, like in the Pomerol, has small wineries, and the wine price is on the higher side, although not as high as in Pomerol. The grape variety Merlot is here the dominant variety with a planting of 75%. The soil varies from sand to pebbles and clay, but especially the areas with pebbles and clay bring the best wines that are comparable to Pomerol. These wines also have the potential to grow old and have a rich, full velvety texture with a beautiful bouquet.

1x 2004 Reserve La Croix Beaucourt , Médoc

Medoc:

The AOC Médoc concerns the northern part of the Gironde peninsula. It extends over 80 km in length and 10 km in width. We distinguish Haut-Médoc in the south and Bas-Médoc in the north, which corresponds to the Medoc appellation itself. This AOC covers 5,800 ha and produces 285,000 hl of red wines per year.

The Médoc enjoys an exceptional geographical location and a unique subsurface. Graveltails make great wines. The mix of Merlot (the main grape of the AOC) , with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec gives the wines charm and balance.

The mouth of the Medoc is well structured, full with a framework of tasty tannins. The wines from gravel are strong and powerful. They can be tannic in their youth and are expected to live 5 to 10 years. Those born on clay-limestone soils are fine, elegant and subtle and can be tasted quite young.
