2020 Claire Naudin "Les Damodes" - Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru - 2 Bottles (0.75L)

2 bottles of Nuits Saint Georges 1er cru "les Damodes" from the highly coveted but discreet Claire Naudin estate in the very fine 2020 vintage.
Made from vines over 90 years old in one of the plots, this vintage is sold out at the estate and will be ready to drink by Christmas 2024. It can be kept for a further 5 to 12 years in a good cellar.

Production of this 1er cru is around 1,000 bottles a year. For the happy few. . .

There are no small vintages in this estate. The wines develop complex aromas of blackcurrant, morello cherry, bramble, smoky spices and liquorice, and are vinified in whole bunches, which brings notes of dried flowers and very mellow tannins. A model of elegance and extreme finesse. The fruitiness is remarkably precise. The palate is delicate and delicious, as is the colour. The mineral acidity is very refreshing and the structure of the wines is both supple and deep. The wines are subtle and present, between silk and lace.

All my wines are bought directly from the estate and, after delivery, are kept in an ageing cellar at 12 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 68%.
