"The Abbott's Restaurant at the Old Abbey Tavern Howth", featuring a crab holding a pint, on a pale blue field with gold, dark blue and black frame, painted wood, rectangular with clipped corners, reading further "Fresh Seafood, Fine Wines, Guinness, Jameson's Whiskey, Private Dining Rooms, Howth to Holyhead, 61 miles Due East". 58" x 39", very good condition. These were made for Guinness in English and Gaelic, by S.H. Benson, a Bristol advertising company that had the Guinness account for more than 35 years, along with those of numerous whiskey and French champagne houses. The Abbey Tavern is on the harbor of Howth, on a spit of land jutting into the Irish Sea on the north side of Dublin
