20th C. Indonesian Carved Wood Bow

Southeast Asia, Indonesia, ca. mid 20th century CE. A handsome, large wooden bow, hand carved and with a weighted grip made of an additional carved piece of wood tightly wrapped in thin twine. The surface is decorated with a profusion of abstract floral motifs and scrollwork. Size: 8.75" W x 31" H (22.2 cm x 78.7 cm)

Condition Report: String has been repaired in a few places, notably at the lower end. Otherwise in good condition with rich patina on wooden surface and light deposits in the lower profile areas. Light wear commensurate with age including chips, nicks, and scratches.
