20th C. Philippine Wood Female Santo Figure

**First Time At Auction**

Southeast Asia, Philippines, ca. first half of the 20th century CE. A hand-carved female saint figure in a style indicative of Spanish Colonial influence. She stands in flowing vestments with a belt around her waist and bends her left arm to her side. Sensitive eyes, a petite nose, thin lips, and tapering cheeks comprise her visage, and her neat coiffure is secured beneath a four-corner crown. Size: 2.7" W x 6.5" H (6.9 cm x 16.5 cm).

Provenance: Estate of R. Pearson, Denver, Colorado, USA; Mr. Pearson collected from the third quarter of the 20th century until he passed away.; ex-Arte Primitivo Gallery, New York, New York, USA
