Depicts a Louisiana fisher woman selling fresh catch from her cart. 21" X 27" canvas size & 26" X 32" in recycled frame. James Malone,a versatile & prolific African American artist was a retired graphic artist, cartoonist & writer. He was the founder &director of Laughing Trees, Inc., a non-profit, volunteer oriented organization. Also known for painting the trees on his property ( his "laughing trees" ) in his Grove Park neighborhood, he was a famous fixture in Atlanta's vibrant art community & his works are now collected internationally. James was famous for his use of unconventional materials& recycling frames for his artwork.
