Steelcraft Packard Eight Roadster Pedal Car, Cleveland, Ohio, circa 1924-1925 Marks: STEELCRAFT, THE MURRAY PRODUCTS CO., CLEVELAND, OHIO. U.S.A., 65-287 (license plates) 52 x 24 x 28 inches (132.1 x 61.0 x 71.1 cm) This Steelcraft Packard pedal car is being sold as part of the Nic Dallas Collection The Steelcraft Packard Eight Roadster pedal car is in unusually rare original condition and was the pinnacle of Steelcraft/Murray's line of Juvenile Automobiles. It is of metal construction with side-vented engine compartment; front and rear bumpers; front and rear leaf spring suspension and kickplate; double strap steel pedals; steel and composite grip steering wheel with gas and spark control; decal instrument panel; horn; ratcheted side body hand brake; rear spare disc wheel with nickel hub on spare tire attachment; headlights, rear stop light and spotlight - all with glass lenses; 10" disc wheels with rubber tires and nickel hubcaps; integrated rear body trunk with latching lid; license plates with holders; and black oil cloth upholstery. The car's body, hood and wheels are painted maroon with black fenders and running boards. The windshield and windbreakers have been removed, and it appears that the rear passenger fender, side running boards and nickeled radiator Moto-Meter have been replaced with original parts.
