(23) Rich. Furst & Allied Makers German WWII Flat Cardboard Figures
A diverse historical assembly of 23 pieces includes 21 pre-war flat cardboard diorama figures and vehicles mounted on natural wood base blocks, paired with two modern novelty miniature wine bottles. The double-sided lithographed cardboard figures measure up to approximately 3.15" H, or 8 cm, for the standing figures and up to approximately 5.12" L, or 13 cm, for the multi-figure weapon crews. The specialized military vehicle and hardware components include a Zeppelin airship, a biplane aircraft labeled "D-11," a heavy anti-aircraft flak artillery piece, a field howitzer gun crew, a three-man heavy machine gun section positioned in a grass redoubt, two distinct early-style camouflage tanks, a field kitchen wagon, three dispatch riders on motorcycles including two unstabilized flat paper variations, a campsite campfire, and two Red Cross hospital field tents. The combat elements are supported by standing personnel figures including a Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) Labor Service man shoveling, a field medic, an infantryman with an entrenching tool, an officer adjusting field equipment, an unmounted parade bugler, and a Luftwaffe guard. The wooden bases retain clean pre-war promotional merchant stamps reading "Rich. Furst Kirn" and "Dierdorf, Neuwied." The lot is completed by two modern factory-sealed miniature bottles of Lunardelli Venezia Giulia Cabernet Franc Italian wine measuring approximately 7.5 cm H and featuring historical portrait caricature labels on their fronts. The group is in good to very good condition overall, showing light edge wear, minor backing scuffs, and clean cardstock preservation.
