Literature

The Barber coinage series includes the dime, quarter, and half dollar minted by the United States from 1892 through 1916 (though the half dollar was not struck in 1916). Designed by U.S. Mint Chief Engraver Charles E. Barber, these 90% silver coins replaced the Seated Liberty series and circulated heavily well into the 20th century
