2pc Aynsley and Bradford Exchange Dog-Themed Plates
Two decorative porcelain collector plates featuring canine illustrations. The first is an Aynsley fine bone china plate titled The Dog, dated 1978. The design features a central poem by J. Michael Gillow surrounded by perimeter illustrations of various dog breeds by Mary Browning, including a Bulldog, Terrier, and Labrador, finished with a gold-toned rim. The reverse bears the Aynsley backstamp for Stoke-on-Trent, England. The second is a 1993 Bradford Exchange limited edition porcelain plate titled Handle with Care from the Little Bandits collection. The scene depicts Golden Retriever puppies by artist Carolyn Jagodits. The reverse is stamped with Bradex number 84-B10-60.1. This plate is designated for decorative use only.
