2pc G. Loveridge and Co. 9K Rose Gold Mounted Amber Cheroot Holders
A pair of antique butterscotch amber cheroot or cigarette holders featuring 9 karat rose gold mounts, presented in a fitted leatherette case. The holders are crafted from swirled, reconstituted amber tapering to molded mouthpieces. Each gold collar is struck with a series of hallmarks in rectangular cartouches including the maker mark GL, a fineness mark 9 followed by .375, a Birmingham anchor assay office mark, and a lowercase gothic date letter. The mounts were manufactured by G. Loveridge and Co. and date to circa 1927. Thermo Scientific Niton XL2 XRF Precious Metal Analyzer tested.
