The larger piece is an Asante-style Akua'ba fertility figurine from Ghana, carved from a single piece of wood with a characteristic discoid head, ringed neck, and outstretched arms forming a cruciform shape. The head is decorated with red and black pigments along the facial borders and incised geometric patterns. The smaller figurine is a stylized West African ancestor figurine in dense dark-stained hardwood, featuring a rounded head, elongated torso, and arms carved close to the body.
