This lot features 2 antique circus publications dating to 1929: a program for the 41st annual tour of "The Famous Gentry Bros Circus" and a Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Combined Circus "Magazine of Wonders Illustrated."

The Gentry Bros Circus program is notably dated August 12, 1929, just before the October stock market crash and the beginning of the Great Depression. Midair Mercuries Swifter than Arrows from Tartar's Box. Birdling Balancing on Lofty Points by the Worlds Premier Equilibrists, Including The Great Larkin Family"; "Peerless Beauties and Intrepid Male Stars"; and more.

The "Magazine of Wonders Illustrated" features ads for "Hugo Zacchini 'The Human Projectile'"; "'Goliath' the Monster Sea Elephant"; "More Elephants than Ever Before Seen in One Show"; "The Wallenda Troupe In Unbelievable Feats on the High WIre This Year Combined with Europe's Sensational Rellmuts Troupe Two All-Star Companies Appearing Simultaneously in the Most Hazardous High-Wire Performances Ever Witnessed"; and more.

Please attend our live sale to view these circus publications and other interesting artwork and ephemera in person.
Condition / Notes: These publications display some typical indications of age and wear including light toning and minor marginal chipping.
