3 MEERSCHAUM CARVED PIPES - BEKLER

Three Exceptionally Carved Figural Turkish Meerschaum Pipes all of Classical Composers all carved by the renown Master Carver Ismet Bekler. All are signed. Straus, Liszt and Brahms. The carvings, like all Meerschaums are from a single block that is treated with a beeswax dip to give it the color that has become a signature of this brand. All are unused and come in the original CAO Meerschaum Velvet lined cases. Pipes only 5 1/2 to 6". Weight combined 14 oz. PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC Private Estate. Each pipe was carved from a single block of meerschaum recovered from the mines around Eskisehir, Turkey. This type of meerschaum allows for incredibly detailed hand carving and provides the much sought after cool, even smoke. Approximate Retail Value is Between: $250 - $300
