DESCRIPTION: Three pieces of Victorian sterling silver, each decorated with classical motifs:
(1) Claret jug, mark of Frederick Elkington, London, 1871, decorated with swags, Diana holding a bow and gripping a deer by its ear, finial in the form of a boy holding a bowl, and floral, foliage, shell, and Greek key motifs.
(2) Goblets, mark of Barnard & Sons, London, 1870, one decorated with head of Hermes facing right, the other decorated with female head facing left, both decorated with swags, floral motifs, and Greek key motifs.

CONDITION: Minor dents to each item. Moderate to heavy loss to interior of each goblet. Some gilt loss at interior of each ewer. Possible gilt loss to exterior of ewer. Slight bend to rim of goblet with head of Hermes. Some scratching to blank cartouches on each item. Other scratching to each item, consistent with age and use. Silver foam residue present on all items.
