3 Roman Pottery Oil Lamps w/ Relief Decoration

Roman, possibly Holy Land region, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A wonderful ensemble of 3 pottery oil lamps, each mold-made to display an extended wick spout, a circular fill hole, relief decoration, and a sizeable, circular handle. Sitting on a flat base, the first vessel presents a sloped shoulder adorned by a dotted geometric motif that extends onto the handle. Alternatively, the other 2 lamps feature ring-form bases and flat shoulders embellished with abstract designs. The handle of 1 showcases a gorgon head decoration, while the other exhibits a cross surrounded by 4 target motifs. Size of largest (lamp with gorgon head): 3.7" L x 2.5" W x 1.8" H (9.4 cm x 6.4 cm x 4.6 cm)

Condition Report: Lamp with cross on handle has repair to spout with light restoration over break lines, chips to handle, and fire darkening in areas. Other 2 are intact. All have expected nicks and abrasions, commensurate with age. Otherwise, all are excellent with rich earthen deposits throughout.
