3 Song Ding Ware White Glaze Dishes
3 SONG DING WARE WHITE GLAZE DISHES: Song Dynasty (960-1276 AD), three white glaze saucers / dishes to include 1) Double fish incised decoration, 5 ¾” dia. 2) Floral incised decoration, 5 ¾” dia. 3) Undecorated small dish, 4” dia. This dish reputedly was damaged and repaired while on loan at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York when a person swung a bat at the display cases holding multitudes of Chinese ceramics in the early 1970’s. All with unglazed top rim, old museum inventory labels taped to base. Condition: Sold with all faults.
