RIFLE. Cal. 30-06 (Marked "30 CAL.1906"). S# 27766. Barrel 24". Barrel band mounted bead front sight (with ill fitting hood) and Lyman receiver sight. M1917 style action with matching numbered bolt. Checkered walnut stock with Remington grip cap. Checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: good lightly fading original blue with scattered scratches. Buttplate shows wear and oxidation spots. Original wood finish shows small gouges in checkering. Strong rifling with dark spots throughout. PROVENANCE: From the Lifetime Collection of Malcolm Zickler, Ret. USAF Lt. Col. (26-751/MD).
