Bold devices stand out against partially reflective fields, especially on the obverse. Both sides are uniformly toned in an array of blue, green, gold and violet patina, delivering phenomenal visual appeal to match the excellent technical quality. The 1872 represents the final business-strike issue in the three cent silver series.
