Tula Telfair (b. 1961) Collisions and Progressions Oil on canvas 48-1/2 x 100-1/2 inches (123.2 x 255.3 cm) Signed and inscribed on the reverse: Telfair 7.01.35 "In the mid to late 90's, G.E. did a massive renovation of their Management Development Institute. While having dinner at Peter Hoffman's Savoy in Soho ("A Locavore Before the Word Existed" - NY Times), I noticed a couple of intriguing paintings in the dining room. After some investigating, I was eventually introduced to Tula Telfair and got to make a studio visit. A very talented artist, Tula is also vibrant and personable, with a life story that literally spans the world. After the visits, G.E. purchased these two large paintings for the lobby of one of the main buildings at the Institute." - Glenn Macura, Curator, G.E.
