While having dinner at Peter Hoffman's Savoy in Soho ("A Locavore Before the Word Existed" - NY Times), I noticed a couple of intriguing paintings in the dining room. After some investigating, I was eventually introduced to Tula Telfair and got to make a studio visit. A very talented artist, Tula is also vibrant and personable, with a life story that literally spans the world. After the visits, G.E. purchased these two large paintings for the lobby of one of the main buildings at the Institute." - Glenn Macura, Curator, G.E. Condition Report: 7 individual unlined canvases together in a single frame. Two small areas of undulation visible near the center of the work. Varnish, applied unevenly to the work, has yellowed slightly in some areas. Not examined out of frame.
