On photo of photographer Tzadok Bassan depicted 2 girls, signed in the plate (stamped) lower left. PC size, wear, stains.
Tzadok Bassan was active between 1882-1956, got known as the first Jewish photographer born in the Land of Israel and resident photographer of the community of the old Jewish population in Jerusalem. Studied at the famed "Tree of Life" yeshiva while also studying photography. Before he was 20 years old he purchased a studio in the old city, later he even opened a respectable "photoshop" of is own in the Havashim street. We owe Tzadok Bassan hundreds of spectacular photos some of the are landmarks of the life of the old Yishuv, people and institutions. His photos are regarded of first class collector value. Bassan used to mark his paintings by a delicate seal on the photos' edges.
