Ettore Federighi (Brazilian, 1909-1978). 4 still life paintings. Oil on board, n.d. All signed in lower right. A delightful ensemble of still life paintings by Brazilian artist Ettore Federighi, each composition featuring a copper or porcelain vessel accompanied by fruits or other foods with an expressively painted background and lovely light and shadow effects. The vessels comprise of a copper cup, a sugar bowl, a copper bowl, and a teacup, while the foods include a slice of papaya, an orange, a banana, a mango, a red chili pepper, and an egg. Born in Muzambinho in 1909, Ettore Federighi is considered one of the best Brazilian still life painters. He was a self-taught artist that began as a porch and wall painter and went on to become famous in Fine Arts salons of Brazil and Europe, with several awards around the world. Size of largest painting: 6.5" W x 4.5" H (16.5 cm x 11.4 cm); with frame: 11" W x 9.25" H (27.9 cm x 23.5 cm)
