4 Egyptian Amulets + Faience Bead Necklace

**First Time At Auction**

Egypt, Late Dynastic to Ptolemaic Period, ca. 664 to 30 BCE. A lovely gathering of ancient Egyptian items including a cast-bronze statuette of Osiris standing in mummiform; a mold-formed faience amulet of Tawaret (Tauret), the hippopotamus-headed goddess of childbirth and pregnant women; a small faience djed pillar; a mold-formed faience amulet depicting Harpokrates flanked by the sister goddesses Nephthys and Isis; and a slender necklace strung with dozens of discoid and tubular faience beads in a variety of colors. Size of largest (necklace): 24.5" L (62.2 cm); size of largest bead: 0.325" L (0.8 cm).

Provenance: private Ventura County, California, USA collection, before 2000

Condition Report: Necklace is strung in modern times and wearable as shown. All beads are ancient; stringing and clasp are modern. All items have normal surface wear and minor abrasions commensurate with age, and fading to coloration and some finer imagery, otherwise intact and very good. Light earthen deposits throughout. Bronze Osiris has wonderful green patina.
