4 English Sterling Items, incl. Trumpet, Apostle Spoon

1st item: Georgian sterling silver ovoid cream pitcher having a C-scroll handle and shaped rim, engraved foliate decoration around the shoulder and coat of arms with the initial H. Partial English hallmarks visible just below the rim near top handle terminus. 5" H. 3.675 troy ounces. 2nd item: English sterling silver trumpet with hallmarks for Birmingham and a date mark for 1911. 12" L. 1.32 troy ounces. 3rd item: English hand-hammered sterling silver apostle spoon with worn hallmarks to the bowl. 6 3/4" L. 1.550 troy ounces. 4th item: London sterling silver salt cellar with cobalt glass insert, hallmarks for Henry Chawner, and date mark for 1810. 1.710 troy ounces. 8.265 total troy ounces. Provenance: The collection of Gary Glesser of Loudon, Tennessee, by descent from his grandparents, Captain Hoyt and Rachel Holton of Toledo, Ohio. Hoyt Holton became, at age 17, the youngest captain of a Great Lakes Freighter. In the 1960s, Captain Holton participated in a 26-day Admiral Byrd Society trip replicating the explorer's famous transpolar expedition, during which he met the Pope and Soviet Premier Nikita Kruschev. Many items in the collection were brought back as souvenirs from that journey and other frequent voyages.
