Set of (4) monumental Chinese huaniao hua porcelain plaques, the first depicting a pair of quail amidst chrysanthemums, bamboo, maple leaves and grapevines with bulbuls, oriels and magpies; the second, depicting a pair of pheasants amidst, lilies, hibiscus, peony, pine, prunus and rockwork with bulbuls, oriels, and sparrows; the third depicting a lotus pond with lotus pods, leaves and blossoms; orchids, and grasses, as well as ducks, swans, and kingfishers; and the forth panel depicting a pair of peacocks resting on rockwork amidst magnolia, peony and pine with bulbuls, sparrows, quail and parrots, each plaque having a colophon and seal at upper right or left and set in a pierced and relief carved frame having a dragon crest above auspicious flowers and birds, terminating to square feet joined by aprons of scrolling leaves; plaques 66"h x 21.5"w; overall size with frames 105"h x 36"w x 2"d.
