4 TN White Oak Baskets by Mary M. Davis

Four (4) Tennessee baskets, including three (3) graduated split white oak buttocks baskets signed by Mary M. Davis (Cannon County, TN, 1928-2014), all having wide woven rims and centers and ribbed construction. All signed in pencil on the interior base with the exception of one. One signed Mary Davis basket additionally signed "Merry Christmas 1988" on the handle. Ranging in size from 8 1/2" H x 9 1/4" W to 11" H x 10 3/4" W. All 20th century.Provenance: The Estate of Donley and Eunice Hill, Andersonville, Tennessee.
Condition Report: Three baskets overall very good condition with light wear, no breaks to weavers. Smallest basket with break to one side of handle, otherwise overall very good condition.
