4 Wooden Boxes, incl. Chinoiserie Tea Caddy &

Four (4) wooden boxes, including burlwood and chinoiserie items. 1st item: Burlwood veneered mahogany doctor's travel or apothecary's chest having brass hardware and escutcheons. Lid opens to fitted insert with pencil labeling containing twenty-two labeled vials of various heights with cork stoppers, eight containing homeopathic pilules. Pin-latched lower drawer composed of five compartments, one with cardboard lid, which contains three labeled vials with cork stoppers containing tinctures. 5 1/2" H x 8 1/2" W x 6 3/8" D. English, mid-19th century. 2nd item: Chinoiserie lacquerware tea caddy with floral designs and armorial shield on hinged lid mounted on bracket feet. Composed of two fitted compartments containing pewter or Paktong square tea caddies with engraved foliate designs and outer and inner lids. Key included. Printed label for Camard-Dimer on underside. 5 1/4" H x 7 3/4" W x 5 1/8" D. French, 19th century. 3rd item: Cherry and walnut veneered tea caddy with brass hardware and two inner lids with finial handles. 5 1/8" H x 8" W x 4 7/8" D. Probably English, late 19th/early 20th century. 4th item: Mixed wood marquetry box with purple fabric lining. 3" H x 11" W x 4 1/4" D. Probably English, late 19th/early 20th century.

Condition Report: 1st item: Minor surface scratches along with scattered losses to veneer, largest measuring 1/4" H x 3" L. 2nd item: Surface grime and craquelure commensurate with age; scattered losses to lacquer 1/4" H x 3/4" W. Pewter with slight surface scratches. 3rd item: Overall good condition with scattered splitting to veneer, largest measuring 1/4" L. 4th item: Scattered surface scratches and losses to veneer, largest measuring 3/8" H x 1/4" W. Wooden escutcheon detached but included.
