U.S. Hall - North Model 1843 Breechloading Saddle Ring Carbine. Unserialized, .52 caliber, 21-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Top of action marked: U.S. / S. NORTH / CONN. / 1851. STEEL and JH to top of breech. Smooth hardwood straight stock with two barrel bands, cartouche to left side. Metal ramrod and buttplate. Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered areas of handling wear and patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
