U.S. H. Aston 1848 Percussion Pistol. Unserialized, .58 caliber, 8-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Lock marked: MIDLTN. / CONN. / 1848 and U.S. / ASTON. Smooth walnut stock with brass barrel band, triggerguard and butt. Swivel ramrod. Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with noticeable areas of age, handling wear and patches of pitting. Scattered dings and scuffs present to wood, few cracks around action.
