Allen & Thurber Bar Hammer Pepperbox Revolver. Serial no. 147 [frame under grip], .31 caliber, 3 1/4-inch barrel cluster marked: ALLEN & THURBER WORCESTER / PATENTED 1837 CAST-STEEL. Bar hammer marked: ALLEN'S PATENT. Scroll engraved frame and nipple shield. Smooth walnut grip panels. Contained in unmarked leather holster. Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Scuffs and scratches present to wood. Action good. Moderately pitted bores.
