Colt Model 1851 Navy Percussion Revolver. Serial no. 45825 [barrel, frame, triggerguard, cylinder and butt], .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Etched cylinder scene. COLT'S / Patent to left side of frame. Silver-plated brass gripstraps. Oil-finish walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1856. Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Noticeable dings and scuffs present to wood. Action good.
