U.S. Springfield Model 1855 Maynard Percussion Pistol Carbine. Unserialized, .64 caliber, 12-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear sight. Top of barrel stamped: 1855 and V / P/ (eagle) proof marks. Maynard primer. Lock marked: 1856, (eagle) AND U.S. / SPRINGFIELD. Smooth walnut stock with brass furniture and sling swivels. Swivel ramrod. Condition: Very good as cleaned. Overall showing scattered signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood.
