Colt Single Action Army Revolver. NVSN, .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Barrel marked: COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. Patent dates worn. .45 CAL to left side of triggerbow. Blued and case-hardened finish. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Note: Possible Indian captured gun due to the serial number being removed, overall appears period. Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable areas of handling wear and patches of pitting. Heavy scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood, with loss to each side at front corner.
