Georges Briars (American, (1917 - 2005), 20th century. Forty piece "Victorian Garden", porcelain dinnerware service with botanical scenes comprising of eight dinner plates (diam. 10.375"), eight salad plates (diam. 7.5"), eight coupe soup bowls (diam. 7.625"), eight flat cups (diam. 2.625"), and eight saucers (diam. 5.75"). Flowers depicted include Bird's Foot Violet, Corn Marigold, Cyclamen, and Texas Bluebonnet. Marked to underside.
Condition Report: Minimal gilt loss to rims, a few with very faint utensil marks. one cup with dark spots to rim and minor firing / glazing imperfections. Wear commensurate with light use.
