45 Caliber Colt Single Action Revolver, Model 1871; an antique blued steel six shot revolver with stag grips. The gun shows the Colt mark. The consignor offers a signed document on Colt letterhead stating this revolver was manufactured in 1901. Also, the consignor reports the gun was returned to the Colt Company in the mid 1970's for a factory refurbishment. Currently, it is in excellent condition, it does show some minor wear on the cylinder where the ratchet engages the cylinder. The lot includes a vinyl Kolpin soft carrying case with sheepskin lining. The pistol measures 10 1/2" L with a 4 7/8" barrel. The soft case measures 7" W x 11" L x 2" D.
