Declaration of Independence Signer George Clymer Document Signed "Geo Clymer" as Chairman of the Philadelphia Committee of Safety. One page, 7.75" x 3.5", June 4, 1776. Clymer signs a pay slip for "334 Days Salary" for Robert Towers. Towers was a Philadelphia tanner who served for a time during the War for Independence as Pennsylvania Commissionary of Stores. George Clymer (1739-1813) was a Pennsylvania representative to the Continental Congress and a signatory of both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Condition: Moderately toned with ragged edges. Some chipping and paper loss at edges, minorly affecting the text. Flattened creases. Boldly signed.
