4pc Herend Hungary Porcelain Teacup and Saucer Sets, Rothschild Bird

The Rothschild Bird pattern featuring hand-painted ornithological studies and scattered insects. Each piece is decorated with a central motif of two birds on a branch with a gold chain, surrounded by butterflies, beetles, and ladybugs. The forms include scalloped rims, embossed basketweave borders, and scrolled handles with gilt accents. The undersides of the cups and saucers bear a blue printed mark consisting of a crowned shield above the word HUNGARY. Hand-painted blue pattern numbers including 734 are present on the bases, along with faint impressed characters on the saucers.
