5 3/4" D. x 5 3/8" H. Hopewell Engraved Jar. Engraved with classic Spoonbill Duck Serpent. Very rare pottery offering from Ross Co, OH. Excellent visual condition with professional restoration. Comes with pre--restoration photos showing the presence of an virtually whole vessel (2 small sections filled). Excellent condition given the age (Woodland) and thin walled construction. Great history. Ex-Jim Johnston, Wallace Gusler, Gilbert W. Dilley. Dilley received it as a gift from Henry Shetrone in 1958.
