Latta on inside cover. 18mo, leather with marbled boards and marbled fore edges; d) The Wisdom of Robert Louis Stevenson: Collected and Arranged from His Writings, published by Brentano's, New York, 1906, 274 pages, handwritten inscription on front cover page "Katharine Latta From Anita Sheppard Christmas 1906." 18mo in embossed & gilt leather with gilt for edges; e) The Poems of John Greenleaf Whittier, New Revised Edition with Numerous Illustration, published by Houghton, Mifflin and Company, Boston, 1882, 434 pages, handwritten inscription on front page "Kitty N. Dimensions are: largest - e) 8 1/8 in (20.6 cm) long X 5 1/2 in (14 cm) wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: a) spine cracked, edge wear to covers; b) spine coming loose, edge and surface wear to covers; c) edge wear particularly to upper spine. d) edge wear; e) edge wear; the ink from the handwritten inscription has left scorching on opposite page.

Provenance: From the family collection of William J. Latta, noted collector of Napoleon memorabilia and/or his son-in-law Harry Franck, a well known travel writer, by descent.
