Europe, Serbia, Switzerland, Sweden & United States, Texas, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A collection of 5 souvenir spoons from Europe and Texas, made from brass and silver with painted and enamel decorations on the handles and bowls. The Galveston Texas spoon is 90% silver with a shell shaped bowl and crab handle. The Tessin (Ticino) Switzerland, enamel bowl is 83% silver with a woman finial. The Belgrade sterling silver spoon has a painted scene and an enamel double headed eagle coat of arms that was widely used before the formation of the Democratic Federal Yugoslavia in 1943. The Goteborg Sweden brass spoon has an enamel ship handle and painted bowl dated 1923. The final gilt brass spoon with enamel jester / carnival mask handle and hand-painted scene on the bowl is not marked with any city. Size of Tessin spoon: 5" L x 1" W (12.7 cm x 2.5 cm); silver quality: 83% to 93.4%; total combined weight of silver: 42.4 grams
