A collection of five late 19th-century portraits, including four oval-format solar enlargements and one rectangular albumen group portrait. The subjects comprise four individual female bust-length portraits and one social genre scene depicting two women at a tea table. One oval portrait is hand-tinted in a pink palette. The collection features a variety of ornate period frames including three brass-tone frames with scrolled borders, one square wood frame with a circular gilt mat, and one large rectangular gilt-composition frame with scrolling foliate patterns. Two stamped circular marks on a metal backing plates read Columbia Portrait Co. Chicago.
