6 Pre WWII Japanese Presentation Items, incl. Miniature

Six (6) Pre World War II American-Japanese presentation items. 1st-2nd items: Pair of miniature weapons, including one (1) Katana sword with a scabbard and one (1) Yumi or bow with arrows, both with decorative silk tassels and black lacquer stand with gilt trim. Both housed in a fitted wooden box with Japanese paper labels to exterior and interior. Weapons with stands ranging in size from 10 1/8" to 13" H x 2 3/4" W x 3 3/4" D. Box: 13 3/4" H x 6 3/4" W x 4 1/2" D. 3rd item: Red and orange polychrome painted wooden torii presented by the island of Miyajima, located in the northwest of Hiroshima Bay, likely a replica of the torii at the Itsukushima Shrine. Housed in a wooden box labeled "Compliment/Miyajima Town/Japan" with a typed label with English text. Torii: 5 5/8" H x 8 1/4" W x 4 1/4" D. Box: 9 1/8" H x 6 3/8" W x 6 1/2" D. 4th-6th items: Three (3) assorted presentation items, including one (1) commemorative medal from the Yokohama Chamber of Commerce comprised of a red and white striped ribbon attached to metal hanger terminating in a drop with crossed Japanese and American flags and English text, and two (2) flags, one (1) American and one (1) Japanese. Medal housed in a padded wooden box with a paper label having Japanese and English text to interior of lid, stamped gilt English text to exterior of lid. Items ranging in size from 2" H x 2 3/8" W to 12" H x 6 3/4" W. All items with museum accession numbers, some with old paper labels. Provenance: The collection of a Tennessee institution.
Condition Report: All items in overall good condition with general surface wear to be expected from age. Boxes with natural age shrinkage, largest 11 3/4". 1st-2nd items: Katana blade with minor wear. Bases with minor losses to gilt trim. Box lid is slightly loose. 4th-6th items: Flags with light fraying.
