The table having frame constructed of pine with gesso and water-gilt overlay, variegated rouge marble top, apron to front and reverse with pierced scrollwork centered around neoclassical female masques, pronounced rococo scrollwork to cabriole legs, x-stretcher with carved blossom to center plateau, table raised on scrolled feet. Condition Report: Appropriate later vintage marble top; Thick gesso layer on legs and stretchers, later glueblocks, errant chipping and flaking to gesso, rubbing to gilding, minor chipping to center plateau to stretcher, light wormholing, with wear commensurate with age and use.
